Leopold Museum Vienna LEOPOLD MUSEUM VIENNA 2001 — A cuboid, clad in white shell limestone on all sides, reaching 24 metres high and 13 metres into the earth. From a distance, the scattered single windows make the building look like a private building; their oversized format of 2.2 to 3.8 metres becomes evident only as one gets closer. Then lit from the side, the seemingly smooth cuboid reveals surfaces with different structures, which give the stone mass a strange transparency, the rooms behind appearing to shimmer through the façade.
