NRW State Archive Duisburg NRW STATE ARCHIVE DUISBURG 2014 — Germany’s largest archives building is located in the port of Duisburg. The existing storage building, a listed structure constructed in the 1930s, was supplemented by a 76-metre-high archives tower at the centre. The memory of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia finds adequate space here on 148 kilometres of shelving. The adjacent wave-shaped six-storey building houses reading rooms, offices, and additional archival space.
