SPREEKÜSTE BERLIN // Urban Planning Workshop 1st Prie - 25.01.2023

We are happy to have won first place in the urban planning workshop for the Spreeküste Berlin.

The jury awarded the first-place prize to a design by O&O Baukunst / capattistaubach urbane Landschaften and ENS Eckert Negwer Suselbeek / Freiraumplanung Wolf.

At the recommendation of the expert panel, two drafts were awarded first place in equal measure, and the designers tasked with using them as a basis to develop an urban planning model for the Spreeküste area. O&O Baukunst and capattistaubach’s contribution will provide a foundation for the structural development plan and the later high-rise construction competitions.

A productive urban district will be created between Rummelsburg and Köpenick/Oberschöneweide. A new river park—on previously inaccessible industrial land—will become the centrepiece of the new development. The compact quarter will line a new promenade along the Köpenicker Chaussee leading to the former broadcasting station.
