Platanenhof Berlin // Exhibition LET’S FIX IT – RENOVATION not DEMOLITION - 06.03.2025
To launch the European Citizens’ Initiative HouseEurope!, Architects for Future has curated the exhibition FIX IT! RENOVATION NOT DEMOLITION. Sixteen outstanding projects from the BDA’s Re-Use Atlas are featured, demonstrating the tremendous diversity of redevelopment projects throughout Germany and highlighting the need to prevent demolition in cities and villages alike.
Our Platanenhof project in Berlin Kreuzberg is part of the exhibition and a great example of how empty office space can be transformed into a residential landscape. The former Schultheiss Brewery administration building was fully gutted and converted into an apartment building without sacrificing the character of the building and making sustainable use of the qualities and resources of the existing structure.
Exhibition opening: Thursday, 6 March 2025
Keynote speech by Roland Duda, Friday, 7 March, 11 a.m.
