BAT - STUDIO THEATRE "ERNST BUSCH" // CONSTRUCTION STARTS - 09.09.2015

The Berlin workers' and student theater is part of an ensemble monument. To implement the program, space and need the concept envisages the complete gutting of the auditorium as well as large parts of the wing and the foyer. The roof of the theater hall is no longer viable and must be replaced. Access to the auditorium and the adjoining rooms will be done at ground level and thus accessible to the outside after the renovation. The bat-theater receives a neutral black box with no fixed seating, which provides students many opportunities for aesthetic and spatial experiments and new narrative forms.
